Which Mary did Jesus first appear to after His Ressurection from the dead?

Catholic Tradition states that Jesus appeared to His mother Mary first but the Gospel of Mark (believed to be written at a later date) states that Mary Magdalene was first appeared to. This is for a school ignement graded by the Religion Teacher at my Catholic School. Please reply soon!!!
