Pink skin left after acne, how long till this fades?

I had a big bad acne cyst that a was prescribed antibiotics for, and only lasted a few days, i used calamine lotion as well(really worked great!) and aloe vera constantly. The cyst broke open and formed a very very large scab which i still put a lot of aloe vera on, this fell off today revealing very very pink skin underneath, what can i do besides just keep lathering on that aloe vera to speed up the recovery from the pinkness? Its huge and pretty embarring. Should i continue to use calamine lotion? would that help restore the natural color of the skin? How long should the pinkness last? i'd be fine with a little off normal color, but a huge pink blotch is something i want gone ASAP.
